Beit Midrash TLV is a 4-month intensive, egalitarian, and pluralistic Jewish learning program for English-speaking adults from around the world– the only program of its kind in Tel Aviv!

Beit Midrash TLV, at the Secular Yeshiva in Tel Aviv, is the only full-time Jewish learning program in English in Tel Aviv. Our learning is offered in an egalitarian, non-halachic, non-coercive, pluralistic environment. Our students are primarily English speaking young adults (ages 23-35) from around the world, but we are open to participants of all ages.

Study is open to students of all backgrounds and affiliations.

In addition to the program’s course schedule, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the BINA community and with Tel Aviv. All our full-time students volunteer in local social-justice organizations in south Tel Aviv. In addition, you will enjoy Shabbat experiences and holiday celebrations as a group.

Beit Midrash TLV at a glance

Dates:

  • Fall Semester 2017: September 3, 2017 – January 11, 2018
  • Spring Semester 2018: February 4 – May 25, 2018

Location: BINA Nature Gardens Campus, Lavon 3, Tel Aviv

Cost: $3,700 per semester

  • Part-time and single-course options also available — inquire for cost per class
  • Masa Grant available! Cost with a Masa grant is $1300/semester*

Additional Opportunities: Hebrew Ulpan, courses in Hebrew, volunteering (additional costs may apply).

* Masa grant amount may vary depending on age, country of origin and other factors.

YESOD is offering full scholarships + monthly stipends for Jewish community professionals and educators from Europe to come to Tel Aviv to learn in our English Beit Midrash TLV program!

YESOD is a new initiative, funded by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation and the Rothschild Foundation (Hanadiv) Europe, offering young Jewish adults in Europe the networks, knowledge and skills to help them create vibrant and meaningful Jewish life in their communities and across Europe.
